Holidays at Runnymede
Over the holiday season, Runnymede’s elves worked hard to ensure that our patients felt the Christmas spirit.
This year, leading up to the holidays, patients and staff enjoyed the first annual Holiday Bazaar. The event sold handmade goodies ranging from BBQ spice rubs to bath bombs, tea to hand-knit blankets, all created by our patients. The event was popular with staff and patients alike, and raised funds for patient programs and services.
The Gathering Room at Runnymede was also hopping throughout the busy holiday season with tree decorating and carols led by special guests from the community including St. Cecilia’s Glee Club and The Sparklettes.
On Christmas Eve, the hallways were filled with joyful Christmas music courtesy of Bob Martin and the Travelling Musicians, as patients enjoyed a visit from Santa and staff handed out Christmas presents. Special thanks to the activation therapy team for organizing these events, and all the helpers who made the season bright!
