the team of nursing professionals working at Runnymede Healthcare
Centre. With continued bed expansion and the opening of new units
planned for Runnymede Healthcare Centre successful candidates to
part-time/casual roles will have the opportunity to move into
permanent full-time position with the opening of the new units.
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse, in collaboration with the
interprofessional team, will deliver care and treatment to acute
and clinically unpredictable patients. This is accomplished
through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation,
education, preventative measures, restoration and maintenance of
health and functional abilities to a diverse, medically complex
patient population. The Registered Nurse is expected to provide
excellent care through the demonstration of compassion,
professionalism and respect.
The successful candidate will possess the following
qualifications/experience:
- Undergraduate degree in nursing preferred
- Current Certificate of Registration with College of Nurses
of Ontario required
- Good understanding of the College of Nurses of
Ontario Standards of Practice
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
Certification required
- Active involvement in own/our continuing education
- 2 years of nursing experience in a Complex
Continuing Care or Acute Care Hospital preferred
- Excellent Organizational skills and ability to
manage workload
- Experience with Windows Operating System, Microsoft
Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Demonstrated leadership and decision making skills
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written
communication and team building skills
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and the
ability to work well with the interprofessional team, patients
and their families
- Demonstrated ability to provide culturally sensitive
and senior friendly patient care
- The ability to work independently and in a team
environment
