Admissions
Runnymede Healthcare Centre improves the quality of life for
each patient in our care. The healthcare team includes Physicians,
Registered nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Occupational
therapists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy
Assistants, Clinical Dietitians, Speech-Language pathologists,
Communicative Disorder Technicians, Social Workers,
Activationists, Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.
Admissions Process
Application for patient admission to Runnymede Healthcare
Centre is made using the electronic Resource Matching and Referral
system or by completing and faxing the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
Rehabilitation (Rehab) Network/Complex Continuing Care (CCC)
Referral form.
Completed
referrals can be faxed to the Patient Flow office at 416-762-5386.
Pre-Admission Tour
Patients and/or their families can request a pre-admission tour.
Tours are available only to patients who have met our admission
criteria and have been accepted for admission to the Hospital.
Day of Admission
A staff member will meet with the patient or substitute decision
maker to complete necessary paperwork.
Post Admission
An initial care conference between the team, patient and/or the
substitute decision maker may be scheduled to discuss the team’s
assessment of the patient and to develop goals and care plans to
meet the patient’s potential.
Visitors
Visiting hours are from 10 am until 9 pm., seven days per week.
Many of our patients experience feeding and/or swallowing
difficulties. Visitors are requested to notify the nursing staff
before they give food and/or drinks to their relative/friend or
share the food with other patients.
Runnymede is a smoke free facility. Smoking is not allowed in any part of the building.

Hospital property.
